Your responsibilities

• Developing a robotics-solution to reduce radiation exposure for workers
• Working with & programming of cobots & manipulators in a dedicated robot-cell on site in Beznau nuclear power station (KKB)
• Optimising the use of the cobot to reduce manual work needed 
• Step-by-step automation of the system
• Develop image recognition of items to be handled
• Systematic documentation of all tests & trials to secure learning for Axpo Power
• Liaise with on-site stakeholders to implement users needs

Your profile

• High affinity for innovative applications.
• An intrinsic motivation to develop solutions and implement projects pragmatically.
• Spirit for the extra mile.
• Experience with programming of industrial robots/cobots is highly desirable
• Experience with drones, robots and/or ROS is a plus.
• Conceptual and networked thinking.
• Experience in the field of data analytics & data engineering or building information modeling (BIM) is also a plus.
• Good Knowledge of German (B1/2) is very advantageous for the work in a power station.

In this project you will have the opportunity to work at the Axpo headquarters in Baden and at the Beznau nuclear power plant. Depending on the outcome of the project, the internship could be extended and/or a master thesis topic could be proposed.
